The keeper posted this picture on her Facebook Page and I swiped it because it is the perfect illustration for my post today. I want to leap from last year into this year with a big bang. I had a good year last year and hope to have better one this year. This blog is the start of my good year.
Let's recap the last year. In 2014, I made it to age 40. I am quite proud of that fact. I am not a decrepit old horse. I still go out in the pasture everyday and run my herd like a herd stallion should. I continue in the tradition of Dusty and Ceasar the ones before me. I have a good life and a great support system.
This last month were not good, but turned out okay. I suffered two rounds of severe colic and a poisoning. I survived it all due to the Keeper's diligence and great care. I do not want to dwell on the the bad, but those incidents have prompted me to live life to the fullest everyday.
Now my living life to the fullest may not be what the Keeper has in mind, but it makes life fun. Like when I was so sick and would not eat, everyone was very worried. They knew things were better when they came to check on me and I had torn all the water hoses out and flooded the barn. Yeppers, back to the old mischief again. Sometimes they sell me short and think I won't do anything naughty. Fooled them!
