This is an interesting picture of my favorite mare. She is 21 years young. It is interesting because she is terrified by tractors. If she realized the tractor was behind her, she would not be standing there. She must have been grazing and walked up on it by accident. I'm not going to be the one to tell her.
Here is a better picture of my favorite mare. Isn't she a looker?
Here is a picture of the baby of our barn. This is Lola. She is eleven and acts like she is two. Just yesterday, she got stuck because she stuck her head up under a tarp that was protecting a stack of hay that we did not have room to put in the hay barn. Here is the funny part, all she had to do was take two more steps and get hay out of the hay barn. It does not have a door!
This is Cisco. I was not thrilled when the Keeper brought him home. I mean how many male horses do we need. Then I met him. He is 37 years old and an old roping horse. He has seen some hard times. The Keeper worked for over 6 and a half years to get possession of him. So I guess I can't begrudge him a nice safe home in his later years. Besides he is a really nice horse. I would share a pasture with him anytime. Until next time, Happy Trails To You!
